By | May 23, 2011

If you are running OSX on a laptop or computer that is powered off or sleeping between 3 h 15 and 5 h 30 am, you may need to execute the maintenance script from command line by yourself to clean up your system from old system logs and temporary files.

To do so, execute the following command from terminal :

sudo periodic daily weekly monthly

The root password will be asked. Once done, the prompt will be back to $.
